"Worst Condo and STRATA
Ever"

I rented a unit in this building for less then one month and then paid a fine to break the lease, then discovered the unit was previously being used for drug related activity. The rental manager had no clue who the Property Managment company was. When I was moving in after I requested it through the proper channels, i was confronted by the Strata President saying it was a illegal move in and told to stop. This is after the moving trucks already been on site for an hour. I never had cable becasue the locks on the telecom room where changed by somebody, not even the Property Managment company had a key and thought it was resonable to wait 10 days before cable gets hooked up. Residents were cons---antly parking in Visitor Parking. The cleaning lady was terrible, always getting into everybody else's business. People were always leaving garbage in the elevator. You think you could use the pool for longer then 2 hours, think twice the caretaker that doesnt do anything will tell you time is up. When I moved out of this Hell Hole I had to pay $100 and wasnt even supplied with a elevator key. The starta president was so bitter that they had somebody from council observe my whole move out. DONT RENT BUY OR VISIT THIS PLACE IT IS TERRIBLE. PS - THE STRATA PRESIDENT DOESNT LIVE ON THE PROPERTY SO WHY WOULD THEY REALLY CARE HOW BAD IT IS. THEY JUST HAVE IT FOR A INVESTMENT AND ARE ALLOWED TO BE THE PRESIDENT.

I live in one of the other building..9283. Its hot, no not hot, an inferno. If your moving in get an airconditioner! The new building manager seems to be on top of his game but I must say that I cant wait to move to a cooler quieter house.

New strata and manager are awesome, definitely haven't had any problems with living here at all.

The strata is strict because there were so many ignorent users. It is now controlled & good. The original old lady was a bit not friendly but the current manager is good as well.

Some i do not agree is having garbage in the elevator?! $100 is moving charge. I guess u r the one breaking the common rule ( also shouting/screaming in the pool). For most ppl, 2hrs are good enough.

How's the overall condition of Sandlewood? Would yiu recommend it for buyers? Thanks

Sandlewood is not an apartment building, and there is not such a thing as a rental manager in the complex as this is a condo/strata property. There is a percentage of owners who don't live in the complex and rent their units out, a lot of them live abroad and use rental companies to deal with renters. Most of the issues you are describing have nothing to do with Sandlewood but seem to be caused by poor communication and treatment from the unit's owner and the intermediary company. The moving out fee is part of the strata law and your landlord either should have covered it or at least informed you up front. In regards to the garbage, there is the occasional dude who leaves a Starbucks paper cup or things like that in the elevator (which I agree it's unacceptable) but it's not an every day occurrence and it's not like someone is leaving stinky garbage. The pool area is pretty cool and as a long term resident I can assure there is NOBODY checking how much time you are in there. The pool area closes at 10pm so this is the only time someone (either the cleaning lady or the security guard) will ask people to leave, I'm guessing this is what you experienced.
