"Better than newer
buildings"

What I like about this building is that it has larger apartments, at least compared with the newer developments. Large master bedroom where you can fit a lot of furniture, large living and very large balconies. Another great feature is that for the corner apartments the kitchen is strategically placed so that by opening kitchen and the bedroom windows the whole apartment can be quickly ventilated. This is one of the MAJOR defects of most condos in BC: kitchen usually near the entrance door, with no way to air the apartment and get rid of smells of cooking. No wonder lots of people in BC wear clothes smelling terribly of rancid food. Another great feature of the building is the open swimming pool, where in summer time you can get a tan and enjoy yourself as if you were at the beach. Grocery stores are literally 2 minutes away, which is always helpful in case you forgot to buy something and need it quickly. Transportation is also close, as is Metrotown and Central Park. On the down side, none of the apartments have their own washer/drier. Also, elevators tend to break a lot and the gym is of rather poor quality.

Nice apartment building one of the nicest cleanest affordable apartment rental building in Vancouver/Burnaby. I recommend this apartment building to anyone who wants a safe clean quiet apartment. I'm living in Panarama Tower 4 years and I'm using game room, swimming pool and sauna almost every day, even 2 my friends moved here. Building managers Steve and Vesna are most professional and friendly managers I know. It's good to be home:)

This building is an expensive joke. There's 26 floors and supposed to be 3 elevators. For the past 4 months, they've been renovating the elevators, supposedly one every 6 weeks. The new elevator rarely works, the second elevator is completely out of commission and the old elevator rarely works also. I've had to walk up to the 17th floor 3 times, been stuck in the elevator 3 times for 15 to 25 minutes and my husband has been stuck at least 4 times and had to walk up 5 times. I can't count the number of times I've pressed the button on my floor to catch the down elevator and had it pass me by. I have to leave for work at least 25 minutes early just to try to make sure I get there on time. Elderly people and people with children are crying in the lobby because they can't get to their apartments or are panicking in the elevators because sometimes you get in and the elevators take you up and down at various speeds and won't let you out. We can't invite friends over anymore and, heaven forbid, we should ever need an ambulance. Tonight we had about 15 firemen here because the elevator was giving off sparks. Once again, walk up 17 floors with your laundry basket and then find out that the dryer didn't do its job. To top it off, they've just RAISED the rent. Now on to the water situation. Sometimes you turn on the cold water kitchen tap and you only get hot water, no matter how long you leave it on. I dread taking a shower because I've been scalded or hit with cold water so many times. I spend my time in the shower ducking and weaving the water spray. Turn down the hot, it gets hotter, turn up the cold, it gets hotter. Other times, it goes in the completely opposite direction. The taps seem to have no relevance to what water temperature comes out. Are you absent minded? Get out your cheque book - a day late with the rent - $50; lost your door fob - $50, forgot your keys - $60, etc. The people who work here are great but they're bound by rules set by an avaricious and uncaring management company. There's lots of other smaller problems but I can only rant for so long. The slogan for the building is "Live, Work, Play in the centre of it all". That's fine if you plan on never leaving your apartment or having a shower. Luxury living, my buttocks! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OxSbdNu7RTU
