Novo II at 9262 University Crescent is the second phase of the Novo towers on the Simon Fraser University grounds. Built by Intergulf, the buildings feature suites ranging in different sizes and different size balconies or decks. Some units even have 1,000 sqft. balconies with beautiful views to the North and East. The buildings come with a gym and sauna and is conveniently located in the “UniverCity” area of SFU.

"Nice View"

The view on the south east/east is excellent (when you dont look directly down at the ugly refining plants). The layouts are decent. The finishing is decent for the most part. My concern is the noise. The door should have been sealed better as you can hear noise from the hallways. Also, for some reason you can very clearly hear your neighbours closing kitchen cabinets and you can hear you neighbours clearly peeing when you are in the bedroom sleeping. Other than that the noise isnt bad, just those things are annoying. The corner units get really cold in the winter especially if you do not have a fireplace so the heating can be higher priced, however the trade is a nicer/cooler summer as well with better air circulation through the unit.

"Great views"

The area and neighbourhood are very nice. My particular unit that I had faced toward Burrard Inlet had fantastic views of the water and mountains. The finishings in the suite were okay. Not the highest quality stuff but not the cheapest looking either. I recommend this to students or staff at SFU or anybody wanting a setting more peaceful than at the bottom of Burnaby Mountain.
