"Yikes"

The building could definitely use updating. The gym equipment is laughable (and I'm being kind). There are crack addicts living in the far corner cubby in the visitors parking - makes for some scary mornings when they're coming in for the day to sleep. They actually had a mattress and boxes of stuff - security never seemed to notice - what are those cameras for?? There is an ongoing problem with people throwing garbage off of their balconies. We have tried to address this continually - it never stop, we gave up. Glass bottles, food waste, dog feces, underwear, used condoms - you name it, it's on the balcony of every 2nd floor suite. There was a stabbing 50' away from the front door just over a year ago, a double murder in the sushi shop on Royal Oak, etc... It's a sketchy neighborhood, but that's not the building's fault. The new maintenance people are better, but it didn't take much to be better than the last! If it wasn't for the garbage problem, I could live with the old decor, old/broken gym equipment - the location is really pretty good.

I visited this building on a few occassions and I have to say I don't know what to make of it. The suites are a good size, there are some good views and prices seem very reasonable, but there is a lack of updating in the common areas and the location is a bit quiestionable. I don't know how to describe it, but it just doesn't feel right to me. Also it is within walking distance to ammenities but it is a fair walk. I would say if you are looking for good value only this may work for you.smrtovnica smrtovnice
