"2211 Sherobee is a Roach
Motel"

2211 Sherobee is a ROACH MOTEL!!! Please read RENT IT OR NOT reviews for 2211 Sherobee in Mississauga Ontario. I lived at 2211 Sherobee for 1 year. I am extreamly clean person with a clinical & HR background. They did 5 pest treatments ... nothing worked since the building is infested with roaches, so the roaches always made their way back through the pipes. I've read others reviews and it's TRUE what they say. The chemicals do not work. The corporation has not changed this approch to resolving the problem which is why it continues. Building staff say their chemical treatments are weak/resistent. Many units are affected even those who claim they have not see a roach in a while. They need a better solution. I've lost a lot of money throwing out furnature and appliances which the cooporation ignored and failed to rectify/reinburse. This was a very negative experience for me and I hope this post helps others avoid renting at 2211 Sherobee Road in Mississauga.

"Roaches, rude staff and
the list continues..."

As described by the previous reviewers, this is a disgraceful place. Cockroaches (not in mine, but they did "preventive" spraying 4 times in 3 months!! talk about all the work to move everything around over and over again, being a single lady doing all of this). Fixing pipes and turning off hot and cold water for ridiculous amounts of time without offering any indemnity to the tenants for the big disturbances, and almost a year later, they finally put some drywall in the holes, right before my lease ends... my cat already had time to go into the wall. Rude staff, especially the polish lady with short blond hair... AND they keep going into my apartment without notifying me. Worst place I've ever lived... not to mention them closing down the pool 6 months after they said they were just renovating, and also one day just decided to make visitors pay for parking... imagine people who just moved in with a 1-year lease who now have to make visitors pay. ANYTHING to make money, and then raising rent after all this?????

"Absolute torture by
management and stay is a
nightmare because of pest
control"

Beware.. I was willing to pay a premium over other ones around the location, expecting the property to be well maintained by a big brand in property management. But guess what.. Its a nightmare.. Horrible experience so far. Cockroaches are all around and the management shows no signs of repairing the open kitchen and washroom pipe line holes. These are habitat for the roaches. The pest control is a headache asking you to clear the counter tops to cabinets and vacate the apt for four hours. Believe me its a 2 day process if you are actually worried about health. Starting with getting ready for pest control to putting everything back after cleaning the chemical spray. The amenities are a joke. Please don't fall for the same when you come to visit the unit. Swimming pool is closed and they discounted $2 from the rent as a compensation. rest of the amenities are outdated or not in an acceptable state. Just waiting to finish the lease contract and move out. Stay away if you want a clean and fun place to live.

"cockroaches everywhere"

My apartment is full of cockroach. They sprayed 5 Times .it is like putting perfum they become more and more . They are now in my bedroom sofa washroom . I got allergy from those spray. The managment don't care they put gel for her which is very helpful but not for us it is expensive.My life is a nightmare .tonight one roach jumped on my daughter while sleeping on the sofa. I hate kaneff and the managment .looking for another apartment.by the way they told me I am the cleanest person in my building . I take care of my apartment. Shit on them i dunno if i move will the roach move with me my furniture all new i cant get rid of them. I hate the day I moved to kaneff.also forget to tell roberies just open the door with keys and goes in they stole lots of my precious stuff managment blamed me u might not locked the door but sofar in one year 10 apartments are rubbed no response from anyone.stuff are gone my responsibility.shit

"Good rent and location.
Bad everything else."

Rent time 10yrs. Cheap rent is the only thing going for this building Only had roaches the 1st year. But since then none. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Pest control comes to inspect every 2-3 months. Repairs in all unit are now exceeding 7 months. Mgmt doesn't realize roaches are traveling through all these unfixed repairs. Very little privacy. Doesn't feel like a "home" with all the intrusions. Building mgmt doesn't care. The Romanian f/t couple is terrible and rude. The p/t mgmt Indian couple (not 100% on background" are super nice. If you ever have issues make sure to see them. No problem with neighbors thankfully. All posts about this building say no pets. But under the 07 Residential Act they cannot ban them unless they become a nusence. They will tell you no pets upon coming to see the unit. Make sure to bring your own chain lock. There have been a couple break ins during my time here. Knock on wood not my unit. Smells do travel very well through the units due to the pipe repair holes in the walls. Does get super cold in the winters. No window or balcony cleaning done.ever. White balconies get dirty quick! Kitchens and floors are super dated. Be sure if you change something like the shower head, you keep their crapy one and put it back on when you leave. They will give you trouble for changing it and tell you that you'll have to pay for a new one when you leave the building.

"Cockroaches & cold
winters "

If you like your bedroom temperature 16C and feel the wind through the old windows during winter, and cockroaches all over the building this building is for you. Highly advertised "beautiful grounds" are covered with cigarets, if u like sitting on the balcony cigarets will be landing on your head, sometimes water dripping. Tennis courts are unsafe and should be closed down. Uneven surface & wet moss growing all season, an invitation to lawsuits, someone will get injured there eventually. Swimming pool area floor wasn't cleaned in several years. "Fully equipped gym" is a joke. Maybe someone who never seen a gym would be impressed. Management, pest control, workers enter units with their own keys several times per month. Zero privacy. Once you give your notice, they will bring people to see your unit several times a day, on daily basis, living there last 2 months was an absolute nightmare. MOst horrible building I've ever rented. I rented many over 25 years in Mississauha and Etobicoke. This one was absolute worse. I feel bad for everyone who has to live there.

"Cockroaches "

Do not rent here Very bad, dirty building, cockroaches everywhere, including units, countless chemical sprays, every 3 months, management, pest control, other workers, enter units with their own keys several times a month! Zero privacy, people always knock on your door. When u finally lucky enough to be moving out & give them 2 months notice they will bring people to see the unit several times a day, all day till 8 pm,,,, horrible Very cold winter time, thermostat in your unit doesn't work, it's set to max 20C, in one if the bedrooms temp was 16C, when I complained to manager was told nothing can be done, because furnace is at its max.

1. Rude and unprofessional staff. One of the resident manager is a Romanian Couple. While the wife handles customer, her husband is a handy man here. Absolutely impolite and unwilling to help. Always blame the tenants for any repairs or faults in the apartment. 2. This building is a den of cockroaches. Very unclean, tens of construction going on for past year or so. 3. Third class infrastructure. Swimming pool, gym is a living hell. TT room and billiard room has no ventilation or AC. 4. Windows are very old and winters are horrible to live here. Apartment temp will dip to 16 and you will have to wear jackets all the time inside as well. 5. They have a key and will open up your apartment 500 times to show it to the visitors. 6. Highly insecure - lots of cases of robbery A Big NO NO Only good thing is its location. Otherwise absolute waste of time and money to live here and deal with the staff trying to correct the issues.

"Cockroaches !!!!! Don't
rent here"

Horrible !!' Can't wait to move out ... After 2 years and countless cockroaches chemical sprays, still large cockroaches running around basement & lobby... Disquasting... They have pipe replacement work donw last year, for about 6 months workers were entering units with their own keys... They would use your washroom, pee on the seat, leave lights on, enter with dirty shoes...probably spreading cockroaches throughout the building...year after the work was completed still missing drywall under kitchen/bathroom sink..loud people in the building, kids crying, banging walls/ceilings day and night.. Fully equipped gym totall joke, few dates machines... Swimming pool in dark dirty basement, not pleasent and very cold winter time... Thermostat in your unit works till maximum 20C very cold winter time, old windows and balcony doors, make you feel the cold wind entering your unit... Tennis courts unsafe, always wet moss growing, slippery hazard, should be closed down... Don't waste your money, kaneff will put you through hell... When you give 60 days notice & lucky to be moving somewhere else, they will show your unit on daily basis, to army of strangers... I understand they have to show the unit, but every day 3/4 times is excessive...never happened in other buidlings I use to rent...

"Worse ever"

1. Cockroaches (countless chemical sprays inside units, absolute nightmare & exposure to pesticide) 2. Management, workers, pest control entering units on regular basis using their own keys, constant invasion of privacy. 3. Very cold winter time, thermostat set to max 20C, my corner unit on cold winter day was very cold, thermostat was showing 20C in living room, bedroom was 16C!!! Complained to management was told nothing can be done, furnace at max. 4. Poor old windows impossible to insulate, balcony door - you can feel cold air entering. 5. Dirty building, dirty people, leaving garbage everywhere, throwing cigarets from balconies. 6. Highly advertised tennis courts, gym, pool are a joke. Tennis courts always wet, moss growing, simply slippery hazard and should be shut down, complained, was told too expensive to repair. Sauna is gross, rotten old wood, temp never hot enough. Gym advertised as fully equipped maybe so for someone who neve seen real gym before. 7. No pets allowed, had to initial that section, But everyone else has pets... Dogs peeing in elevators, cat litter spills in garbage area, sometimes hallway. Birds signing loudly on 1st floor. Large dogs barking, 8. Paper thin ceiling, kids crying upstairs every day and every night or playing on hardwood floor. CANT WAIT TO AFFORD TO MOVE. IF could afford would break the lease and move out on a 3rd day here when noticed cockroaches and then the nightmare of sprays began.

"Don't waste your time and

"

Cockroaches !!!!! Disgusting !!! MOVING OUT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. 2 years of nightmare living here. 7 pesticide sprays inside my unit. Countless visits from pipe replacement workers, holes in the walls still not fixed after pipe replayed 7 months ago! ZERO PRIVACY. "Horrible"

Cockroaches out of control. I'm moving out, wish read reviews before moving in. Don't be fooled by decent lobby and managent reassuring that the building is clean. It's disgusting,lazy people always leaving garbage everywhere, stinky hallways, cleaners can't keep up with large building so they skipping cleaning hallways, and hardly ever disinfect, clean garage shoots.

"Cockroaches "

The building is infested with cockroaches. I'm moving out can't take the pest control sprays anymore. My unit is now cockroaches free for more than a year, but they still come in on monthly or weekly basis, to inspect and preventive spray. Every time you have to empty cupboards, closets and move furniture, them leave unit for 4h after spray. It's a lot of work and zero privacy. The building is very dirty, people always leaving smelly garbage in garbage shoot. Because they too lazy to drop it down. The cleaners can't keep up with big building, so they skipping vacuuming/mopping hallways. The building stinks, no ventilation for hallways. The lobby is clean to make good impression. I had 7 chemical sprays for cockroaches in under 2 years. Inspection before and after every spray, countless visits from workers replacing water pipes all last year. I never had consecutive month without notices on my door and strangers entering my unit, I rent in Mississauga and Etobicoke for over 20 years, this is the worse nightmare building I have ever lived in.

"Terrible Company!!!!!!!!"

Terrible security!!!!!3 Neighbour's apartments broken into.One neighbour was at work,other was asleep when they came in and the other walked in on them in their apartment!!!The doors weren't forced..they used a key!So how did they get access to keys?????Management denies and could give a crap!!But they do give you crap if you bring your puppy through the front door..maybe they should worry about thieves getting into the building instead!!!!ROACHES are everywhere!!!!They take forever to do repairs,I've had to request 3 times for them to do my repairs!!and it took for the time of inspection for them to do something..and when some rude lady from head office was inspecting she actually had the nerve to give me crap that why I haven't requested for the repair...when helloooo...3 times!!!!..but they are quick to harass you and charge you if your are late with your cheque!!!I've beenhere too many years and it's getting wrose..it's time to get the hell out of here!!!

"Horrible management!!!M"

Holes in the wall more three months longer than they say. They fix the pipes in building only to leave huge holes in your house. Awful smell and ant infestation. They only cover the holes with anything you need to yourself. Horrible place to live.

"ROACH ROACH ROACH"

..........DO NOT MOVE TO THIS BUILDING........... ON MOVE IN DAY I FIND MORE THEN 50 ROACHES CRAWLING ALL OVER MY UNIT. IT WAS A HUGE SAFETY HAZARD YET THEY LET ME MOVE IN WITHOUT A WARNING. PLEASE DO NOT MOVE HERE. YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED!

"Very low security "

Being renting a 1bd unit not even a year and my unit got broken into. Police say a key was used spoke to mamagement and VP, they denied everything. management tells you oh it was our fault VP say no. Once they talked to one another the whole story changed. In the end lost very valuable items that no one gives a damn. So I up and left the place really would not recommend anyone to rent there. They are late in doing everything but they are first in collecting the cheque, and if you are late a day you received an eviction notice the next day.

"personal security may be
an issue in this building"

to any current or future renters at 2211 sherobee, beware personal security in the building is very weak despite having an over-night "security guard" on site. at any given times, you will encounter the strong smell of marajuana on various floors, particularly the upper floors (eg. penthouse, 25th floor etc...). the demographic make up of the building is changing from a once predominant white eastern european/slavic renter group, to a more south asian,carabean and east indian new immigrant type.

"Roach Motel"

Comment on this Review: unregistered user on October 23 2010: Have to agree. Lived there for 2 years. Fist month in I got a notice my apartment was being sprayed for "ants" and I wondered why I didn't see any. Had to move everything I just moved in to the center of each room get plastic to put over it and give them 8 hrs for the spray to work (later I find out the spray really needs 12hrs in a closed room to be effective but the notice recommends 4). Well rinse and repeat every 4 months. I had roaches saved in glasses of water, even experiments where I would catch a roach under a glass and see how long it would survive, let me tell you the go for weeks with no food or water and still ready to take off. Complain to the management and the give you an appointment for another spraying just to shut you up, they tell you the do the while floor but I really doubt it. For the rent they charged me ($940/month for 1bd room) they really should get their acts together. Since leaving there I had to take pretty much everything I've ever owned to one of those laundromats with really hot dryers and do everything at once so they didn't make it to my new place. 6 months in and so far so good. unregistered user on March 19 2013: Roaches still live on this address unregistered user on December 21 2015: Roaches and ants consistently. Roaches in lobby every time there's a move. They just apply bait. no real solution unregistered user on August 16 2016: Roaches are mainly due to the open pipe lines below kitchen sinks and washrooms. No point spraying 10 times a year unless the rooms can be isolated and the roaches dont move around when the pest control is done. It just moves from one apt to another and is going to be a never ending problem. Try not to rent here. Doesnt mean anywhere else is going to be better.
