BUILDING DESCRIPTION AND AMENITIES Horizon Towers consists of two high-rise, well-maintained family and adult buildings. There are laundry facilities in the basement of each building with seven washers and seven dryers in each. Horizon Towers has an outdoor pool, which is usually open from May to October, a tennis courts and exercise area. There is a parkade and an enclosed garbage facility. NEIGHBORHOOD AMENITIES Horizon Towers is located in Burnaby, which is approximately 25 minutes out of Vancouver and is the center of Great Vancouver's regional district. The buildings are approximately two blocks from the sky train, which runs every two minutes during rush hour into and out of Vancouver. The bus loop and Metro Town Station are also within close distance. Simon Fraser University is located in Burnaby. There are both English and French immersion schools within proximity of the buildings. GENERAL INFORMATION Heat and water are included in the rent. "AVOID MOVING HERE"

DO NOT rent an apartment in this building. The management shuts the water off every two weeks to fix leaks, and they are constantly renovating meaning there is not a day that goes by where there is not excessive noise/something that is not functional (elevator etc.)

We are working very hard on upgrading this property. yes we do have to shut the water down once a month because it was built in 1971 with out shutoffs for each suite. This is necessary when we are installing brand new bathtubs and showers. If you are going to write a bad review you should add you name. Bob

"Hi there !"

By the time the new management came on site...everything changed !... talking about services ,maintaining,fast responses to any technical or non -technical issues,staff members very professional and polite in the same time...What can I say..?!...Using my own words; HUGE difference if I compare this 2 companies ....BoRDWALK from before-a disaster...and this one managing now-REALSTAR...its like Heaven on Earth...they even update the units before you move in...new fridge...new stove ...EVEN a wall- fixed Huge microwave...! WOW...and let me tell you the smell of the new wood floor combined with the smell of fresh paint...make you feel like NEW...if you know what I mean...nice views...large balcony...and that...that bascket the welcome you with...make the difference ..I forgot to mention I used to rent here in Boarwalk time...I left because of that problem technical-plumbing...in my unit ...they want me to pay for...now I return....I heard that its new management-company on site ! And let me tell you; HAPPY ! That;s all ! Thank you REALSTAR !

you do not even need a car ! everything is arund ...5 min . walk to Metrotown...2 min. to retaurants...stores...London Drugs ...Shoppers...Sushi...coreean...chinesse...japaneese...polish...serbian etc...you name it ! The best location in Burnaby !

"Noisy neighbours and Apt
not in good condition."

Dont rent this building, it is in bad condition and our friends had the same problem with bedbugs and silverfish. The neighbours are very rude, inconsiderate and noisy in the middle of the night and they play loud music, talk loud on the balcony at midnight and some tenants have their dogs barking on and off in the middle of the night disturbing other tenants and the whole neighbourhood. The management is very rude and they rent the apt to people from all walks of life. The neighbours are especially nightmares in this bldg. If you need to have peaceful sleeping at night time, then we suggest please dont rent this bldg.

"Terribly Managed, Dirty,
Unsafe Aparment "

This building is one to stay away from! It is very dirty and rundown. The building has problems with bedbugs, silverfish and the occasional cockroach. The management is incredibly rude and unaccomodating and make it very difficult to have basic needs met (needs very clearly stipulated by BC tennancy act are to be met by the Building). The building has multiple break ins. The building is constantly being fixed for one thing or another but repairs take months. In my stay alone the water was cut off over 10 times by the building. The problems are extensive. Stay very far away!

"Avoid this building!"

We've been here for 3 months so far and wish we could escape. There are silver fish (harmless but nasty) that we discovered after moving in. They did get a pest guy in but they're slowly coming back.. The silverfish are probably due to the leaky pipes. We've just had to wake up to a puddle (under our carpet) in the hallway that wasn't there when we went to bed! We've also had ridiculous complaints from neighbors (which the building seems to encourage) and the rude staff just don't help. Overall, this is one to avoid! It's quite sad since we moved in looking for a place to stay for years..

Try Epsom Salt around (dry) edges. It worked for me in a building I lived years ago.

We've moved out since we found mold. We know that they're not going to fix it, even though they should! Please EVERYONE avoid this building. No one who lives there is happy with the conditions.

This was long before we bought the building. It is now beautiful. All suites are being renovated. No mold./
