"Not what you'd expect...."

Very busy condos, that i expect as it is in the centre of the city and is quite a popular hot spot for parties etc. Alot of city noise and ambulance/fire trucks heard 24/7 due to proximity to hospital and fire house. A great mix of people and some not so great...management and security are very unprofessional and create an stressful experience which surprised me especially for a high profile condominium. Suite space is quite small most appliances outdated, Elevators break down practically bi-weekly ( picture a 29 storey building with only one operating elevator during morning and evening operating times...one word FRUSTRATING)..BEWARE HEATING AND COOLING FOR THIS BUILDING BREAK DOWN ALL YEAR ROUND. Would not recommend for renter nor buyer.. P.S. poor overall for a condo. Ok if were an apartment.

"Absolute Club - 30,000
square feet of Amenities
is a HUGE
DISAPPOINTMENT!!!"

The promise of 30,000 square feet of amenities lures those who foolishly hope to use it. It has remained unfinished for two years now, and it moves along at snail’s pace. The turnover in the absolute community has been huge. Most have left frustrated and disappointed by the lack of interest in finishing the Absolute Club which is the big selling point of the Absolute community. The Absolute Club looks as though it will be finished very soon, however do not let that fool you into thinking you will live here long enough to see it finished. Even if you do decide to buy into the partially finished club, you will likely move before it is completed. There are huge numbers of trades looking for work at the moment, and Fernbrook has few excuses for not completing the work. But, after another year has passed us by, the minimal work continues. This could be finished in less than 30 days if the builder had any intention of finishing it this year of 2009. I too will follow those before me and move. When looking for your dream condominium, it's best to move on to a builder who is serious about what they promise in amenities. Huge condo fees with little or non-existent amenities.

agreed and it hasnt changed since this was review was written..one writer suggested these reviews are biased..but check other buildings on Duke of York and Living Arts..You dont find all the negative chatter and even find 5 star reviews..people dont come here and write this scathing commentary because they are bored..the place has issues..

Every person has there opinion on specific condos. Some had good and some had bad experiences. Absolute world is still one of the most sought after community in square one. In buildings 70,80, and 90, you get more for your value from opposed of the new Marilyn Monroe towers. In building 70 and 90, the hydro is included in the maint fees which is great and depending on the size of the unit, the fees are different. Simerra property management merged with a usa company called First Choice. They seem to be well liked in the U.S, so well see how they do here. Simerra was a horrible mgmt company tho.
