"One of the best buildings
in Cityplace"

This building is very clean and the common areas are always kept up, including the gym, pool, and saunas. Security is excellent here and this is a very safe quiet building. Sometimes there are issues with the elevators (but the blame here is on Fujitek, the manufacturers) The locker areas are safe but avoid using the outdoor bike racks if you have a nice or newer bike. This building is pet but not pot friendly.

The condo building is well run and managed. The security is very good and alert always on guard for loud noise and addresses it quickly and effectively. All of the common areas are well kept and very clean. The condo management makes sure that all of the amenities and equipment are maintained. Quiet, friendly and safe place to live work or play.

The water leaks are back. Too many renters moving in and out. Not a great building but not a bad one either.

are the water leaks affecting a lot of people?

"Great building"

I haved lived in this building since its inception (ie for the past 5.5 years). Initially there were growing pains (problems with elevators not working, floods, security issues, etc), however that is to be expected with every new development. our current prop mgmt, security and board of directors have been doing a fantastic job. i wouldnt ask for a better condo to live in and i'm a proud owner of West One!

"No problems"

I have lived here since Jan 2012 and so far haven't experienced any problems with flooding or elevators. The only time I experience any sort of lineup at the elevator is during the after-work rush hour period when everyone is trying to get back home other then that, no problems. Residents here are friendly and so are the concierge. It is a great location and a great place to live

"Great builiding, great
location"

This building has improved over the recent years. Thanks to the board and management. I love the location that is close to highway and at the same time close to downtown core. I walk to work everyday and I am loving it!

"I like where I live"

I would agree that WestOne had issues in the first years after occupancy. I don't think that is surprising to anyone while a new building matures. This is true for any other buildings too. They always have issues in the beginning. It could be from a simple noise level to elevator issues, water pressure and cooling/heating. WestOne was not alone from common new building issues, but as it matured over years, and thanks to a group of residents who volunteered their time to be on the board, it's been a while now that we haven't had any major thing reported in the building. Personally I am very satisfied with our elevators as I can still remember back in days when we had 1 or sometimes up to 3 broken elevators per week and can't forget line ups to get to my unit.

"It's improved so much
after change in
management"

Over the past few months, I'm surprised to say this building really improved! I think it's thanks to the change in management. The neighborhood is awesome, the new bar really brings the community together. The only complaint is the neighborhood does need a bit more retail, but I guess slowly but surely.

"11 Brunel court the
building from hell"

shit place to live, run into the ground, had 6 or 7 major floods in just over 2 years, condo fees always on the rise because the building had/has so may problems, Board are idiots, implement rules that were 100% city places fault, and I'm not even going to get into the elevators! Run Run Run from this place...oh and the management company that runs this place are never there and do nothing as well as the condo news letter and notices are always full of spelling errors. Sara Rowe is the head and worst!

something wrong. Condo fees had been frozen for a few years already. Why someone said it is always on the rise? It is a nice place to live.

"Obvious improvements"

There were problems at first, but things are on the upswing now. The elevators don't fail as often, and when they do, repairs are now swift. Aesthetically, there has been and will have more improvements. The condo board is showing more love and care towards the building and its resients. The location is great, residents are nice and the views are unbeatable.

To be very honest to you, this building is very nice and I love it so much because of the location, amenities, neighborhood and the management is really great! Other condos in the Cityplace have management that is being run by little kids and always have issues but the management is 11 Brunel is very strong and some of these reviews do not do justice. There have been a couple of floods in the early stages not 6-7. Secondly, elevators are not broken anymore and if they are, its been taken care of right away. Thirdly, pizza delivery guy comes to my door once he hands his keys or something of value to the conceirge as security which is how it should be. And last but not the least, the reviews you read are from before then the old management was responsible for the condo so therefore do not base your decision on reviews from years back. You will love the condo, the location is great, views are incredible and it looks like a sophisticated condo as opposed to Fort York or Capreol. Capreol got no outdoor pool and always have alot of people in the amenities which makes it hard to use and therefore I will pick 11 Brunel over any of those condo's. And did i forget to mention, how I love it when I come right into the condo from Spadina instead of getting off the TTC and going around the streets to get into the building.

"Never Again"

Absolutely terrible place to live, especially if you own a car. Good luck getting anywhere near it during peak hours. Management is oblivious, useless and unreachable outside of normal business hours, visitor parking is non-existent, only two of four elevators are ever in service and lineups are common, only one elevator runs to parking levels so you're either carrying your groceries through a maze of hallways or having to take TWO separate elevators to your floor, over-the-top security measures are more annoying than helpful, hallways are dark, dirty and decorated like the building is 20 years old... the list goes on. If you ever do finally make it up to a unit, you'll find that they're actually quite nice, which for me is the only saving grace. I should have listened when warned not to move in.

please tell me where in downtown you can find the parking spot during the peak hours?!! the good thing in 11 Brunel court is if you wait in parking you definitely find spot within few minutes. there were a lot of improvements and renovation in the building and it keeps getting better and better like other new places, you gotta consider there are 612 units in this building and mostly young ppl, if you like living with around young people this is the place you want to live
