"GREAT BUILDING !"
Both Tower A and B of the OMA complex are excellent buildings! Don't listen to these other negative reviews. The buildings and surrounding areas are very safe and are conveniently located between 2 skytrain stations. I've owned and lived here for 4 years. Compared to other buildings I've lived in, OMA is well managed and taken care of. Having a proactive strata council and a live-in building manager make a huge difference when living at any property, and OMA has both. The people living here are great and considerate, even the renters. Of course there will be incidents here and there but that is expected in any large complex. Overall I'm happy I bought here and love the 9ft ceilings !!

"Buyer Beware"
I would never buy any properties developed by Millennium Group. Millennium Group developed the OMA Buildings. The Millennium Group also developed the 2010 Vancouver Olympics Atheletes Village. The village Began having mold problems about a year before the athletes moved in. The workmanship at the Village is very shoddy. Several people want to get out of their purchase contracts. At OMA there are rumours that the Strata Council and the property manager are not totallly honest and are not disclosing all the facts. In the minutes they tell the owners how great everything is at OMA to make the owners feel good. Some council members are about sell their properties and bailout before bad news and facts are disclosed. Buyer Beware. Noise from trains passing on the south side can be heard even from the Northern Tower. There was a murder on 2300 block Madison. The 2300 Block Madison, is not very well lit because it is industrial area. I walk to and from the Gilmore Skytrain Station in fear because a woman was recently attacked after she left the Gilmore Skytrain Station. I will be vacating the OMA as soon as I can find an alternative. Once Again, Buyer Beware. Don't be sucked into buying by the realtors hype. They Only make money after the property is sold. Their efforts are wasted if the property is not sold. Don't be pressured into buying. There are other properties besides OMA. Jasmine Wong

The thing about the strata is all in your head. There is nearly zero crime here and the train that comes about 4x per day, sounds like a distant, passing plane. Maybe you are selling from a neighboring building?

The sky train comes every 5 minutes or so - there was no mention of the actual train but you pointing that out makes me even less interested - thanks!

Maintenance is absolutely horrid. They tell you there's a pool, sauna, steam room, and hot tub but the steam room hasn't worked in over a year and if the hot tub actually has water in it, the water is FREEZING. not an understatement. They'll keep telling you that it'll be fixed next week but theyve been saying that for over a year. They'll put notices in the elevator about cutting water off for a day on a certain day for maintenance but what if you don't ride the elevator. Someways they don't even put up a notice. Ridiculous.

It’s unfortunate that these individuals write these comments. They are obviously unhappy with themselves & not their surroundings. I have lived at OMA for 5 years since day 1 & I am very happy. I have seen allot of positive changes over the years. Sure the steam room is not working & has not been working for some time; this was a design flaw. I am pretty sure the strata council does not want to blow a whole lot of the residents’ money to fix something if it cannot be fixed & I am sure the correct decisions are being discussed. (Good Choice)The hot tub, sauna & pool are all in working order & I really enjoy the facilities. The security at OMA is great & the train that passes is the Amtrak heading from Vancouver to Seattle, it actually ads some character to the neighbourhood & is not really noisy. Unless of course you are a grumpy individual. What I like most about OMA is the positive influence from all of the happy residents, I also like the fact that is not located off a main road. There is a wonderful preserved green space in front with a bike bath that leads to Vancouver.

I remember being interested in one of the units as it was beauitfully finished on the inside. However, I was dismayed by the nearby power lines which can be a health concern and I was concerned about the stone tiles outside as they were coming loose and were a tripping hazard. Also put off by the Amtrak train noise.

I find it so ridiculous that people are complaining about a 10 car train that passes by several times a day during daytime hours?! The noise is minimal. If you don't like city life and the noise that comes with it then move to Chilliwack and smell cow manure instead. The power lines are a bit of an eyesore, but if that's a make it or break it deal for you then don't live here. There's many other fine buildings in the Brentwood area, but there will always be a downside or two to any building. The world isn't perfect !!

Actually ever since the first towers of oma went up there has been many crimes. I was one of the first tenants to live there and I would come home to police telling me there's a bomb threat and I couldn't enter the building ( probably a drug raid. Also my neighbours car got hit with a stray bullet in the commercial parking lot. I'm glad I moved out because months after there was a gang shooting. There was also a murder close by. These buildings are Terrie and I am so glad I rented and didnt purchase.

I've been living here for the past two years and have never felt unsafe. I am not on strata council. The building is very well maintained and the pool is beautiful. The sauna, steam room and hot tub have been working and well maintained since I moved in. All brand new gym equipment was just purchased last year and we have a beautiful gym. If you are unsure just check recent realtor listings and you will see updated pictures of the building. I have met lots of very nice people here. I have a two year old daughter and have never encountered any shady characters near the complex.

"The Best 2bed Room Floor
Plan In The Burnaby Area
For the Price"
I have been in the market for a condo for the past 4months and have looked at over 30 different units all over the Burnaby and Downtown area. This building has the best 2bed room floor plan compare to many I have seen. I noticed a lot of 2bed floor plans are like shoe box layout. However, Oma has design one of the nicest 2bed layout in the mkt today. Here are some of the Positives: 1)Lots of windows 2)9ft Ceilings 3)Corner unit 4) only 6 unit per floor 5) Nice RainShower 6) Awesome Layout 7) Very good price right now 8) Nice quiet building 9) Awesome amenities (Swimming pool-rare to find in bby area) 10) Awesome location. 11) Good material used compare to a lot of condo's in the DT area. Out of all the condo I have seen I always come back to OMA and will be making a purchase very soon. The thing that sold me is the layout/quality/price/and location. You won't find anything close to this for the price right now.

"Almost Perfect"
This is a great building, very nicely finished, high ceilings, lots of windows, great facilities, convenient location, good floorplans, and it is bascially new so there should not be much to worry about. The only negative I can think of is the train that passes by the South side of the Building a couple times a day.

"Very Nice"
Great building. Looks good inside and out. I guess the lobby was a little plain. But, who really cares about that. Very expensive looking condos. Decent location near skytrain and a few blocks from Brentwood Mall.

"Pretty High End"
OMA. The highrise looks very highend from the outside. Lobby is pretty plain but the condo unit itself was pretty nice. The ceilings were high, kitchen was nice. The 2 bedroom condo I saw had a huge living and dining area. Good layout. The master bedroom bathroom shower was connected to the other bedroom. So you could go to each bedroom through the shower. A little unusual but, could be convenient and not bad at all.
