"Venice Court 1869
Spyglass Place-Vancouver
BC"
This building has leaked like a sieve in very recent times due to shoddy building procedures on the part of Polygon Corp. It continues to suffer from a veritable plague of failures, such as burst pipes, faulty electric fittings, further building envelope failures-subsequent to a renovation ordered by the courts, and general disrepair. In brief, this building epitomizes the semi-fraudulent practices carried out by such builders as M. Audain's "Polygon". Beware of it as an investment for it will suck up all your saving (A long time owner)

this is all false information written by someone with a grudge...the buildings have been well maintained by owners who love their homes.
Yes, I've lived here since 1994 and have to agree that any problems or issue have been dealt with in an efficient manner. Maintenance is always an ongoing issue with condos. this is a premier place to live!!! also large suites rather than shoeboxes.
These buildings are freehold and probably the best investment in the area . Especially with what is being constructed nearby. Love its location and city views close to everything
must be a grudge! As a long term resident and owner and someone who has also lived in many wonderful places, I cannot imagine a more beautiful place to live. This property provides views of the water, the mountains and proximity to the great diversity of Vancouver at a value not obtainable anywhere else in the world for something comparable.
Totally agree. Rented for one year leaked five times. Nice location, terrible building.
I have owned a unit since 2005 - that makes me biased - but the fact remains that the building is professionally managed and that strata council has been always forward and pro-active keeping monthly fees reasonable in comparison to the needs of the owners and the status of the structure - all rainscreen issues have been comprehensively dealt with.
The people that live here and are defending the building are just doing this because they are trying to protect their investment value and overall real estate value in the building, the reports on this web-site and most likely very true
Possible truth in last comment so I will disclose upfront that I am an owner. I bought in last 2011 - when all these problems were known. The strata corp has however spent a small fortune addressing the problems, including the building envelope and by replacing all the plumbing in the building in 2012. The management appears to know what they're doing and to be dealing with the problems effectively.
new roof, new plumbing, building has been retrofitted; new skylights, new balconies; mostly owners who love this building and have kept it well maintained; this is the best waterfront location within downtown Vancouver proximity; cant go wrong as everything has been fixed
I am temporarily living in this building. I love the views, top notch. I do find the apartment dark having to turn the lights on for most of the day (this is November). I would not pay over $1M, as one was recently listed for, to hear my upstairs neighbour pee. I hate that.
Terrible initial review. I've managed this building for the past 6 years and none of that review is true. Shame!
