"The Brownstone"

The Brownstone has a very active strata council which has lead to many upgrades since the building opened. This includes adding security features like a video monitoring system for all entrances and exits for the building. The installation of a sprinkler system for the lawns, a carpet cleaning program and painting of the hallways every year on a rotating basis. The building has replaced its hot water tanks with high efficiency boilers and storage tanks. Maintenance fees are lower than similar 40 unit buildings in the area and the council has worked hard to increase its CRF % to ensure the long term goals of the building are met. This building continues to affect how new buildings are designed with brick and separate entrances for those who live on the first floor. Great walking trails and a gym are at the Hyde Creek center/park. Grocery stores and restaurants are less than a five minute walk.
