"Nice building, Ugly
property"
The building is nice and the property was in keeping with the location adjacent the park and reflected the sentiments of the people in the neighborhood in that there were many mature trees. Unfortunately, for what ever absurd reason, perhaps 8 very large mature trees were chopped down on the north side of the building last year then only days ago another very large tree cedar? was eliminated basically denuding the property and negatively affecting the community. There is now a loan sequoia but with this kind of approach, who knows how long it will last. I wouldn't want to live in a building owned by someone with no respect for nature and the neighborhood.

Unfortunately, there are times when beautiful and old trees need attention. Such as the case at The Beacon Hill School. Old root systems can cause major problems if not attended to.Now this 'gem' of a building has been uncovered & appropriate trees planted on the north side.
Trees in the city get planted, they grow, they out-grow their space, they need to be managed. This does NOT mean wanton destruction on someone's part.
