1065 Quayside Drive: Quayside Towers built by Bosa, consists of two towers located at 1045 & 1065 Quayside Drive. 1065 Quayside Dr. and 1045 Quayside Dr. share the same recreation facilities, however are NOT the same strata.
1065 Quayside Drive is Tower 2 and boasts large balconies, open floor plans, insuite laundry, large windows and spectacular views. Amenities include recreational centre, indoor pool and an exercise centre. This building is only minutes from transit, dining, shopping, the boardwalk and so much more. New Plumbing, new carpets and paint in the hallways, Building has been re-sealed and re-caulked. Pets NOT allowed.

"Tower 2 is Best Tower :)"

Great spacious units. Proactive strata. This building is receiving a repipe in 2017. Garage parkade has undergone concrete spalling repairs and at the same time lots of water leaks remediated in 2016 using epoxy injection. This strata enjoys a passive income (and some roof maintenance) from leasing right-of-way for radio equipment on its roof. Fire panel and devices have been replaced in 2016, including an upgrade to "addressable" sensors and pull stations. This strata actually owns the amenities (pool and gym) and land under them on its property title. Tower I is able to access the amenities through a recently renegotiated shared use agreement that had to be put in place after several years of Tower I being out of compliance with previous shared use agreement that was put in place by developer when building the towers. Tower I shares the costs of maintenance and repairs of the recreational facility in exchange for continued access. FWIW this interesting arrangement between the two towers may sway your decision to buy in one vs. the other. Tower II has a functioning garbage chute as opposed to Tower I that closed theirs off and repurposed the vertical space for plumbing during a repipe as a cost-saving measure.

"Nice Large Condos Quiet
and Noisy"

Nice building with very large condos. The one I saw was very nice and faced the River so it was very nice and quite peaceful. I heard that the trains in the area can be quite noisy but I didn't hear anything when I was there. Nice area close to the Quay shopping and the boardwalk.

You have to live in the building and actually spend a few nights to hear the trains. I live in New West in the McBride and 6th area and I can hear the trains in the middle of the night. I also used to live next to Moody Park in New West and the same thing, I could here the trains all the way up the hill. I often wonder about people living at the Quay and how well they adapt to this noise at night because I've heard a lot of complaints (e.g. local newspapers/online). I think many owners in the area are also very hush, hush about it because it's their investment and if they ever want to sell it's not a good selling point to live in the middle of industrial site (port, trains, etc.).

The trains affect most of the municipalities adjacent to Fraser river. The noise levels (and kinds) can be very different. On Quayside, the train "annoyance" is mostly the occasional shunting, as well as sometimes the diesels idle for a while before they get moving. Folks on Columbia/Trapp+Holbrook for example get to suffer from the whistles as they are closer to the crossing. But the whistles are about to go away as the crossings are being upgraded to higher safety measures that allow for whistle cessation.
