"Lovely Building"

We live here & it is a wood frame building so like all wood frame buildings, sometimes you hear your neighbours. It's about being respectful & communicating with your neighbours. If the noise is late at night or early morning or impacting the enjoyment of your space, you can complain & a fine will be levied. This is a well built building. Our building inspector was impressed.

"A horrible place to live"

This is an extremely poorly built wood frame building, meaning you can hear absolutely everything your neighbours are doing including footsteps and squeaking beds above. Our neighbours downstairs have come up and told us to stop walking around so much, and to not use our garborator due to the noise which makes living here very uncomfortable. We are too scared to have friends over or play music. Somehow the building has attracted large families with young kids, so that small apartments have multiple screaming kids in them all over the building. The kids are constantly screaming and shrieking on the balconies and using the hallways as a play area. This begins early in the morning and lasts until late at night. We have to keep the balcony door shut as a result of the screaming even during hot summer days. Many people do DIY upgrades on their units that take extraordinarily long to complete which adds to the constant noise. Nobody respects the building from people constantly smoking pot in the underground to litter, abandoned junk and dog doo in the elevators and lobby. I feel sorry for the janitor as he does an excellent job. Ive lived in 8 apartments and this is by far the worst place I have lived in. We were suckered in by cheap rent but quickly realized that you get what you pay for. We are a normal young couple that are used to living in multi family residential but this place is totally out of control!

Comment on this Review: unregistered user on July 18 2014: Be warned, they're all going up cheap. Don't be scared to live; just keep noise to a minimum. We own in a Condo where we too were scared to live. We hired a lawyer. Unless your walking is excessive and heavy; you have a right to walk around. Buy Headphones to listen to music; best thing we did. Your Unit came with a garborator; use it but watch when & how often it's used. -- Be respectful of your neighbours and hopefully they will be too. Your neighbour made a choice to live below the top floor; maybe they would like one of the families you mentioned instead. unregistered user on July 19 2014: You can't use the Garborator??? Are you allowed to use other appliances that run longer? (i.e. vacuum, laundry, dishwasher -- When are you allowed to use those items?) unregistered user on August 10 2014: Probably why the Owner doesn't live in the Unit. (on the Surface all buildings look good. Move in and you discover you are sharing your life with people you don't know.) unregistered user on January 7 2016: The new management company has made some good efforts in maintenance and cleaning. As a condo owner in this building I really feel the difference ever since the switch to the current management company. The hallways and elevators are cleaner and they recently repainted the elevator rooms. I don't see the issue of dog poos any more. I think other issues are really dependent on the mutual understanding of neighbors. It is absolutely your right to use the gabrator but I would not keep it running longer than 15 seconds and never use it in late evening. Yes this building do have some families with small kids, but I have never seen them running in the hallway. Most of the time they play on the outside across the Heywood park. You can't avoid hearing the sound of kids playing coz the park is nearby. But this is also a nice feature of this building, some families love it. unregistered user on October 9 2016: The building is beautiful and yes, as anybwoodframe vuilding if you run/jump you might hear the noise.. as mentioned by someone else, the new managment has actually done an incredible job to keep and improve the building. The location and look of the builfmding is probably on the top 3 in the pemberton heights area. If u want to not hear any noise, move into a concrete building, there is literally no other choice. "Beautiful Building"

I visited a unit in this building. The exterior is very beautiful. Great location with a lot of shops nearby and also close to the park. The condo itself is pretty nice. Stainless steel appliances and granite in the kitchen. The home I saw it was nicely laid out. Can't think of anything negative to say.
