"Noisy with tinpot
dictator council
president & negligent
property management"

the structure itself is fine, although noise transfer from the third to second floor is shockingly loud. some of the third floor owners have very pronounced senses of entitlement and can't be bothered to moderate their noise levels. council is no help as it plays favourites. Diverse mix of owners: lifers (many of whom seem to care little for the condition of their units or the building), and younger owners who want to invest and improve. Makes for interesting (ie often stalemated) AGMs. The worst part of living in this building is exposure to its council president, a juvenile, petty and ineffective man whose fragile ego depends very obviously on considering himself a big fish in a laughably tiny pond. Expect scolding, dismissive arrogance and passive aggressive memos instead of proactive problem-solving. Property management is no better, they are disorganized, unprofessional and refuse to do more than the bare minimum (sometimes not even that).

"Single Retirees can be
immature"

Living in a building full of old people has made me realize they can be just as immature as young people, and a lot more unfriendly. Here are few examples of neighbor behaviour: 1) Lesbian couple work at home, quick to write angry letters and leave them under your door. Always threatening and rude; has pretty much guaranteed awkwardness for the rest of our time here. 2) Miserable old lady works nights, often grumpy and never smiling. After my puppy woke her up 1x she has awkwardly pretended she didn't see me for about a week (bumped into her roughly 2x a day). To the extent that she turns around on the street to ignore me better. Never smiles. 3) Several different people in the building ignored my 'Good Mornings' for over a year to the point that I gave up with multiple people here. 4) Passive aggressive to the extreme - one clever building detective spotted a new table set on our balcony and connected it to an unsquashed cardboard box in the recycling that my parents had unwittingly disposed of incorrectly and some elderly, retired person who you wouldn't expect to be so immature decided to move that box and a bunch of other random boxes they assumed were ours(because they were baby items i guess)into our parking spot for my pregnant wife to move back later. Literally 10x more effort than was needed to squash a box.

"2011 review"

Building consists mostly of people 50+, with very few families. A handful of young couples. Quite a bit of noise transfer between different levels, especially between 2nd and 3rd stories. Suites are mixed in appearance, some being quite old/drab and others extremely updated/renovated. Good square footage for price paid. Most residents very friendly and community-oriented.
