"Times Have Changed"
The Builder, Times Group, and it's management arm were in a constant battle with the residents until the Tarion warranty was settled. Tarion made a payout, and the Board got rid of Times. Now we have great new management, and issues both big and small are getting resolved, and renovations and upgrades are happening. The building is often overlooked by buyers because it isn't an iconic glassy tower, and Sherbourne St. has had a poor image, but the suites and views are very nice, and this street is changing FAST. Some large, and unique units.

"Worst Service; rude and
incompetent"
This management office is open from 9am until 5pm Monday to Friday, making it extremely difficult to interact with anyone in it. I took time off work to book the elevator to move a couple of pieces of furniture. They demanded the deposit in cash, which I explained was an insecure practice for both parties. They issued a paper receipt, and there is no link to the email system, so for my trouble I was given no comfirmation. They double booked. When I made the booking, I explained that I have a 9-5 job, and that it would be difficult to come back myself. I offered to send someone in my place. They refused, insisting I would have to come myself. I did; and showed my identification. They wouldn't return my money order, and again were extremely rude. While the concierge staff is friendly, I would definitely not recommend this building if there is any intention of dealing with the management at length. They fail to understand that they are providing a paid service to both the management company and tenants. A helpful attitude would go a long way. That, and not sending back packages. I suspect that the intention here is to make things more difficult for others, rather than support their clientele.

"Love this building"
I recently bought a condo in this building and it is fantastic. The building is well constructed and managed. Its clean and the property managers are great. The amenities are also very good. Both my partner and I are very happy that we purchased a unit in this complex.

"Would not recommend"
This building is set to close at the end of January 2011. I am a purchaser of a unit in the building and I am not happy with the management/builder. I have found that they are very slow to respond to my issues. I have found that the quality of materials used is poor. They are trying to charge owners a lot of money for blinds that were not ordered (and are not listed in the Agreement of Purchase and Sale). The opinions expressed in this review are based on my own personal experience. Your experience and opinions may differ.

It's so true, and the manager is useless, she needs to go. What about filter change, supose to be done every 6 months, moved 1 year ago, never changed the.

This review should not be taken seriously. The biggest problem with this building are the minority of loud mouth whiners who complain all the time.I find the management office very kind and helpful in all matters I have discussed with them. Don't really have nay complaints about the building and have found it as an ideal place to live.

I would never buy again from Times Group after the way they have treated owners in this building, and the shoddy construction they did.

Finally!:) it took them just 5 years to realize that to have the same management and builder is completely wrong ! Such a smart board of directors
I used to live and own in this building and stated 100 times, to oust times group, they did a shit job, and they managed the property wrong, and it hurt the values ,
The current management office is better than the Times Group management office. However, they still have great room for improvement. They need more reasonable office hours, more flexibility, and need to stop micromanaging the owners and tenants.
My review? There are so many issues with this building, from the poor construction to the terrible attitudes and behaviour of the management office. We have never been so disrespected and had our privacy violated by management as we have at 500 Sherbourne. Worst decision ever to move in here.
