"Nasty Doorman and
Unresponsive "

We made a complaint about the doorman on duty last year. We have a friend who owns a condo in 77 Park and have always felt the building to have a good reputation for quality. However, as I parked the car to the side of the entrance of the building, the doorman on duty, came over to my car and in a sarcastic manner, “Can I help you?” I said, “No, I’m fine.” He then said in a more rude and disrespectful manner, “Move, you’re blocking my awning.” I was naturally taken aback because I was not blocking it. In fact there was probably a 4+ foot gap there. Regardless, I told him, I would move if you were not nasty about it. He then walked away but watched me from the door area until I did in fact move. He offered no apology. During this time, he could see that I was on my phone and talking to someone. Regardless, he made me feel very uncomfortable. This person is sarcastic. He doesn’t own the street, and both his attitude and action was disgraceful. We hoped that management would take the issue seriously, because doorman shouldn’t treat people with any form of disrespect at any time. Who does he think he is? The car was legally parked in front of the building. The complaint to several people at the management company went entirely unanswered. If this is the attitude of the staff and management, we are not impressed.
