"Great place to live!"

This is one of the best condos on the harbour - nice finishes in the units, lovely courtyard, and very well cared for. The location couldn't be better - walking distance to the very best of everything victoria has to offer. I have lived here for three years and I enjoy my walk along the harbour to work every day. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for the Victoria lifestyle and a tasteful, modern condo. Works well for any life stage, and the mixed demographic reflects this.

"Great building to rent"

My wife and I lived in this building as she was doing her masters at UVic and I was working downtown. This place is the best for young working professionals! Sq footage was 400+ more than anything we have seen downtown and well maintained building. The big plus is that you are steps from al downtown attractions and events, restaurants, etc without having to put up with noise!

"Dentist in Military when
I lived here"

As a new Grad from UBC (Dentist) at the age of 32 years old, my wife and I rented in this building for 2 years till we bought a property and built our home. Our land-lord was absolutley wonderful ... however the other owners we ran into were very rude and unfriendly when they found out we were tenants and not owners. Our landlord tried to down play it as we were younger than the typical demographic for this building (50+ at the time and retiring/retired. We had two vehicles so rented a second spot ... one two accounts someone parked in my rented spot where I parked my Suburban and refused to move their vehicle from my rented spot (interestingly enough only 40% of the parking spots were utilized). Location is absolutly wonderful ... other owners were not very pleasent or friendly when we ran into them in the halls or elevators. We were refused to attend strata meetings just for input and information as we were renters.

I have also served in the military and while this building is in a prime location, I would not consider buying here simply because of the way the other condo owners treated a fellow veteran.

Those rude owners need to get overthemselves. Clearly they have insecurites about themselves. I now would not buy for there bab behavior

As an owner of a condo in the polo for 9 years, i have to disagree with the friendliness issues commented on. We have found not only good caring neighbours but also a new family. Unfortunately a select few renters that come through this building have no pride in their abode which reflects in how they live and their reactions to fellow neighbours. I agree the lobby is somewhat dated but but renter or not, get involved....the decorating committee was looking for volunteers...spend more energy on helping out with annual bbq or xmas party. Anyone can create a friendly environment to live in.

I lived in this building for 15 years but had to sell and move because of health problems. I remember you very well, cute couple, very nice to talk to and willing to mingle with neighbours who began to react in a negative manner towards you when they found out that you kept your dog in a cage all day long while you were at work, yes... many, many people found out about it. This was not acceptable to the people but no one wanted to rock the boat, so they started to keep to themselves and therefore look unfriendly. I guess the welfare of the dog was very important to a good portion of Polo Pacific residents. I understand you wanted to keep your residence clean but why bring a dog in your home if it was to keep him locked up in a cage half the time, just cruel. I miss my condo with its perfect location and would recommend this building to anyone. If I had the chance, I would certainly go back.
