"Mediocre quality"

The unit: Rented a 1 bedroom plus den unit in this building for 1.5 years. Many small things were problematic in my unit. For example, door hinges and handles becoming loose. The carpet was not laid out completely flat, so there were some areas where the carpet bunched up. No problems with appliances. I never heard any noises from residents above me, but I did hear music/movies from my neighbour. With windows closed I never heard the skytrain. However, in the summer the unit would get quite hot - no air conditioning - so windows would be opened and the skytrain noise was bothersome. The building: There were other units in the building that had more extensive problems like leaking pipes. There is no official visitor parking and street parking is hard to find. So if you're planning to have friends over, make sure they are walking/skytrain. Location: One huge plus is the location. Loved being so close to false creek, costco, t&t, park, bars, transit. Generally, most residents in the building were young and quite easy to get along with. I was unaware of any crime. Amenities: The gym is small but the pool and sauna were well-managed. Overall, this is a perfectly fine building to rent, and maybe there are other units that had nice finishes, but if no upgrades were made, the materials seemed on the cheaper side with the workmanship just okay.
