"Great place to live!
Love it!!!"
Love 1330 Harwood Street! And still a happy owner!!! This is a GREAT place to live!!!!! Awesome views!!!!! Large master bedroom with lots of storage...our corner unit offers wonderful water & mountain views...it's close to beach, seawall, shops & restaurants; also professional & business centre. Over the last two years his building has been updated to protect our investments, increase our equity & improve our pride of ownership. These updates include: 1) outdoor pool; 2) attached lawn area; 3) exterior building cleaning & 4) parkade repairs. Future plans include replacement of windows & doors & plumbing upgrades. Maintenance is always part of ownership when people care about protecting their investment.

"Great Value - Excellent
Building"
In the ten years my wife and I have been living in Westsea Towers only three south facing two bedroom apartments have come available. We were successful in purchasing the third suite. Certainly other units have sold... but not in the numbers suggested. Any realtor can provide a list of sales. Judge for yourself. Yes, the building is leasehold. Expiry is 2073. As a result the suites may sell for a third less than freehold. A bargain, considering Vancouver's housing prices. And the value of each unit rises each year, just like freehold. In my view the only downside may be the bank's 25% downpayment requirement. Westsea Towers is managed very well. The management company occupies a suite on the top floor and is available during regular business hours to answer any questions one may have. They are very friendly and courteous. The resident manager is also great and is more than ready and willing to lend a hand. The building is in fantastic shape: a solid concrete structure with well landscaped grounds. It is always kept tidy and neat. Maintenance is done on a regular basis as required. A solid recommendation and a great value. Come and see for yourself.

Though we've just owned in this building for several months, I find the statements made in this review to be absulutely true. The caretaker takes great care to keep the building and grounds in excellent shape, the property managers have provided prompt answers to any questions. From everything I've seen, the building has had timely maintenance in the past and the management company is careful to anticipate the need for future repairs and budget accordingly. I recommend this clean, well-maintained building with its friendly neighbours to anyone who's lucky enough to find a listing for an apartment here at Westsea Towers.

If there was any complaint about WestSea Tower, I'm sure it would be that our lovely outdoor pool has not been accessible now for its second Summer, due to renovations that were urgently required. Such a shame, during Vancouver's best and earliest Summer ever...

"buyer : BEWARE"
Very old place, run down in many aspects, held together with stop gap measures that have had their side effects and caused even more problems. Difficult and often unpleasant management (and it is a lease hold building so you will not have much say in matters). Only two good things can really be said: 1. Many good people living there, but not sure how it is these days 2. Great location (near beach, park, West End amenities) Owners have been selling by the droves, gee wonder why.

Dear buyer : BEWARE: Please forgive me for calling you a total doorknob. That was quite uncalled for and I apologize. You are entitled to express your views, and if I don't agree I must express that in an appropriate manner. I realize now that your posting is from some time ago. There may well have been issues at that time that are handled better now. All the best to you.

I've enjoyed this building since 1972! And really don't understand why it received a beware rating dated Mar 27/10. I certainly disagree & continue to own & love it!!! 5 Stars for sure... : )

Wait until you are required to pay a huge amount of money to maintain the building while the value of your apartment goes down due to a decrease in remaining number of lease.

The above comment is inaccurate as the building on 1330 Harwood St is a leasehold building so there is no ownership. She is just paying money to increase the value of the real owner of the building.
